In Honor of St. Mary Magdalene Feast Day, July 22

In one of the books found in 1945 at Nagamati, Egypt, called “Pistis Sophia” reveals a deep spiritual relationship between Jesus and Mary Magdalene and suggests a deeper relationship, possibly marriage. The words “Pistis Sophia, brings together the Greek words for “Faith” and “Wisdom”. This book was used as a sacred text by the early Coptic Church community of Egypt in the 2nd century AD. Sophia (Wisdom) itself was seen by the early Coptics as a female presence who goes through the experience of redemption in her path to full participation in the consciousness with the Christ.

The Mary Magdalene mystery, as suggested in Dan Browns book, The Da Vinci Code, and the earlier books by Flo Avena, I Remember Union, and Holy Blood, Holy Grail, brings to us the idea of Mary Magdalene as a spiritual leader in her own right and the beloved spouse of Jesus. Many have known that the “whore” label was a temporary one, albeit defaming. The Catholic Church retracted its statements about this only few years ago, in 1969, after centuries, but the pejorative stuck.

Now it’s time to find out the truth. You will see this more and more.

First, we come to the use of the word Mary. In ancient times the female who showed spiritual interests early in life went to the school of Marys. All women from this school were given this name as an identifier. It has significant meaning in Gematria. We will get to that in a moment.

July 22, the feast day of St. Mary Magdalene, is quite important and special. This is because when you look at the Sacred Geometry found in the Gematria, you will find the absolute proof of her identity. But, I digress. Let me start at the beginning.

I have been working with Sacred Geometry for almost 20 years. I started with the MerKaBa meditation, but my interest really didn’t begin there, it began many years earlier, when I was a child. I was fascinated with numbers and could easily transpose any piano music I was reading into any key. Even my piano teacher wanted to show off my skill to her daughter, inviting me to play a piece in any key she chose!

Piano wasn’t really my thing – it was numbers! I took an instant liking to Music Theory, but then I failed my piano recital exam in college – but my final for Theory involved analyzing a Beethoven Symphony. I remember each of the students going into a practice room and playing it. I couldn’t do that, but I could read the underlying mathematics. I got a perfect score on that part plus the bonus points. Good thing, too, because I needed that to end up with good grade in the course! Most of the other students barely passed, and with the curve she had to use, I ended up with a B for the course. Numbers saved me!

Let us now move into the Vesica Piscus and Gematria. The vesica is that almond shape that is created when two equal circles have their circumference on the other’s center. It looks like this:

Gematria is the language the ancient Greek philosophers used to allow the presence of a mathematical equivalent in writing. In a way it is a form of code. Unlike Pythagorean numerology, where A=1, B=2 and C=3, the system of Gematria used the sum total of a mathematical concept to represent a specific thing. In other words, it was the opposite of today’s numerology where the numbers keep being added together until it is reduced to a single digit. An example of this would be the name of Maria. In numerology it adds up to a 6, the number of the teacher and nurturer.

The system of Gematria allows for the addition of one unit, a colel, in Hebrew. Gematria used what was known about geometry to create an “insiders look” at the message. Many names were deliberately misspelled in the ancient Greek writings to insure the meaning was clear.

In geometry, we say that pi is 3.14… However, in ancient times, before the use of 0 and the decimal place, another expression for pi was 22/7. In fact, because of limited knowledge at that time, all irrational numbers were expressed as fractions, and in relationship instead of their now common usage with a decimal point. As such, the number 153 was a common shorthand name for the Vesica Piscus because it was directly related to it’s numerical expression. The ancient geometers called this shape of the Vesica “Matrix” or “womb.” Other meanings of the vesica, include mandorla, vulva, or gateway, all representing the seed shape, emphasizing its unique role in creation as the birther, or bringer of life.

Where does the number 153 come in? It represents the relationship fraction between a radius and the height of the vesica, 265/153, thus the shorthand “153.” In Gematria, the name Mary adds up to 152. By adding the colel of 1 to it, all Marys become representative of the Divine Mother. However, only ONE name in the New Testament adds up to an exact 153, Mary Magdalene. Hidden in the Gematria is the true understanding of Mary Magdalene.

Now, armed with these two Gematria codes, you will find in the intersection of the vesica, the 22/7 i.e. Mary Magdalene’s Feast Day, and the Gematria of her name, 153, putting her at the very center of the Vesica, or Divine Mother. Can it be an accident that the ancient church fathers chose July 22 as her feast day? I think not. It is only in modern times that the scholars ignore the codes of Gematria. For me and others, the Gematria, hidden for centuries gives us a much better look at what might have been true.
